Donations Request for June Family Picnic

Did you know that while the overall birth rate in the U.S. is declining, the rate of twins is rising! Having one baby at a time is demanding – twice the normal number of babies is overwhelming. We are asking for you help in supporting the special families blessed with twins.

We are Salt Lake Mothers of Twins Club (SLMOT) – a nonprofit organization that provides support, socialization, and education for families with multiples in Salt Lake and surrounding counties. Our organization is led by volunteer mothers of twins. We provide help and services including:
·         Mentor Moms program
·         monthly events for education and support for families, parents, and kids
·         a monthly e-newsletter
·         a lending library of books
·         a closet of preemie-sized clothes to loan to members
·         service projects for individual families in need

Many services that SLMOT offers are available free of charge and without joining the club. Club dues are minimal and are paid annually by members, but we offer financial assistance since so many families with twins are financially strapped. SLMOT has a partnership of support with the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC). SLMOT is a group exempt subordinate of NOMOTC whose 501(c)(3) group exemption number is 3186.

In order to help fund these services, SLMOT hosts an annual fundraiser, a raffle held at our June Family Picnic. This year, the fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013. We are asking for donated prizes for the raffle. Because of SLMOT’s status as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are tax deductible. If you are able to help, please mail donations to: Attn: SLMOT June  Family Picnic, P.O. Box 571144, Salt Lake City, UT 84157-1144. Alternatively, you may contact us  to arrange for pick-up.

We appreciate your support of our organization! We would be honored to show our appreciation by recognizing your organization in our member newsletter, on our website, and at the event.

Sincerely,

Salt Lake Mothers of Twins Club
